This Privacy Policy describes how the "ScanTrack: Bulk QR code & Barcode Delivery Tracker" Google Workspace™ Add-on (referred to as "ScanTrack" or "the Add-on"), developed and operated by convertsharp.com, handles your data. We strictly prioritize user privacy, data security, and enforce a minimal-scope data policy in full accordance with Google's API Services User Data Policy.

1. Minimal Scopes & Information We Access

ScanTrack operates with a privacy-first, serverless architecture within the Google Workspace™ runtime. It requests strictly the minimal non-sensitive OAuth scopes necessary to generate shipment codes, update arrival statuses, and display the user interface:

    Data Access & Purpose: Strictly limited to the active spreadsheet file where you explicitly open the Add-on. This scope enables ScanTrack to read tracking IDs from your designated columns, insert high-resolution QR code / Barcode images into cells, and update delivery arrival statuses with timestamps upon scanning. ScanTrack cannot access, view, or modify any other files or spreadsheets in your Google Drive™.

    Data Access & Purpose: Allows ScanTrack to render its user interface, including the Live Camera / Barcode Gun Scanner sidebar, Bulk Generator modal dialog, and printable shipment label view inside Google Sheets™.

2. Zero Storage of Spreadsheet Data & Strict Privacy Guarantee

We do not read, store, index, sell, or transmit your spreadsheet data:

  • Local Browser Rendering: All barcode generation (Code128, EAN-13, Code39, UPC, ITF-14) and QR code calculations execute locally within your client browser memory using HTML5 canvas and SVG.
  • Zero External Data Transmission: Package tracking numbers, recipient names, item descriptions, destination addresses, and timestamps stay strictly within your Google Sheet. No customer records or shipment logs are transmitted to external servers or third-party cloud databases.
  • No User Profiling or Tracking: We do not track, profile, or monitor the products you ship or the destinations of your packages.

3. Live Camera & Scanner Permissions

When you activate the Camera Scanner mode in the ScanTrack sidebar or mobile check-in page:

  • Camera access is requested through standard browser WebRTC APIs (navigator.mediaDevices.getUserMedia).
  • Video frames are processed entirely in real time in your local browser memory for barcode/QR detection.
  • No video frames, camera feeds, photos, or screenshots are ever recorded, saved, or uploaded to any server.

4. Data Retention, Security, and Revocation

  • Zero Data Retention: Because we do not operate an external database for spreadsheet data, we retain zero customer shipment records.
  • End-to-End Google Encryption: All communications between your browser and Google Sheets™ are protected by Google's native HTTPS/TLS encryption.
  • Revoking Access: You can disconnect ScanTrack or revoke its authorization at any time by visiting Google Account Security Permissions.

5. Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance & Limited Use Disclosure

Google™ API Limited Use Disclosure:

"ScanTrack: Bulk QR code & Barcode Delivery Tracker's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google™ APIs will adhere to the Google™ API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements."
  • No AI/ML Model Training: Your Google Workspace™ spreadsheet data is never used to train, fine-tune, or improve any artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) models.
  • No Third-Party Data Sharing: We do not sell, rent, or transfer user information to third-party data brokers, advertising networks, or analytics companies.
