This Privacy Policy describes how the "Bulk Barcode & QR Code Generator" Google Sheets Add-on (referred to as "the Add-on"), provided by convertsharp.com, handles your data. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your data remains secure.

1. Information We Access and How We Use It

The Add-on runs completely serverless within the Google Workspace boundary. It requires the following specific permissions (OAuth scopes) to function:

  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets.currentonly
    Purpose: Used to read the content columns mapped by the user to generate barcodes and QR codes, and to write the resulting image cells and row heights back into the active spreadsheet. The Add-on cannot access or view any of your other Google Sheets.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.external_request
    Purpose: Used to communicate directly with the official PayPal REST API endpoints to securely verify payments and activate your PRO license when upgrading. No financial details or payment credentials are seen or collected by us.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email
    Purpose: Used to identify your active Google account email to check if you have a valid PRO plan or registration in the spreadsheet's license list.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.container.ui
    Purpose: Used to display the glassmorphic settings panels, customization sliders, and visual preview dialog windows directly inside Google Sheets.

2. Data Storage and Transfer

  • 100% Serverless Architecture: We do not operate any external database or web hosting server to run this Add-on. All business logic runs entirely within your active Google Sheets document via Google Apps Script.
  • No Third-Party Transmission: The Add-on never transmits, sells, or shares your spreadsheet data or personal information to third-party services. The only network request made is from your Google account directly to PayPal's secure servers to check payment order status.
  • Local Licensing Database: Your license registration is stored locally in a tab named Licenses inside the active Google Sheets document. This ensures that you have complete ownership and control over your license storage.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

Because the Add-on operates on a serverless architecture within your Google Workspace boundary, we have strict policies regarding the retention and deletion of your Google user data:

  • Data Retention: We do not store, retain, or collect any Google user data (including spreadsheet contents, email addresses, or metadata) on external servers. All data accessed during the execution of the Add-on is processed in real-time and exists only in the temporary session memory of the active spreadsheet execution. No Google user data is retained by us after your session ends.
  • Data Deletion: Since we do not store any Google user data on our servers, there is no user data for us to delete. If you wish to delete any data processed by the Add-on, you can simply edit or delete the content directly within your Google Sheets™ file.
  • Revoking Access: You can revoke the Add-on's access to your Google account at any time. To do this, go to your Google Account Security Settings page (under "Third-party apps with account access" at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions) and select "Remove Access" for the Add-on.

4. Security

All data access is governed by Google Workspace's secure OAuth flow. The PayPal Client Secret is securely stored on the server-side ScriptProperties of the Google Apps Script environment, which is completely hidden from the client browser and third-party inspection.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted directly on this page with the updated effective date.
