Tutorial Guide: How to Generate Barcodes & QR Codes in Google Docs™

This step-by-step guide explains how to install, launch, customize, and insert high-resolution Barcodes and QR Codes directly into your Google Docs™ documents using the ConvertSharp Add-on.

Step 1: Install the Add-on from Google Workspace Marketplace™

  1. Open any Google Docs document or visit the Google Workspace Marketplace™ Page.
  2. Click the Install button and approve the minimal document scope (`documents.currentonly`).

Step 2: Launch the Add-on inside Google Docs™

  1. In your Google Docs editor menu, click Extensions (Tiện ích mở rộng) or Add-ons.
  2. Select QR Code Barcode Generator for Docs™ - ConvertSharp.
  3. Choose:
    • Barcode generator: To open the real-time Barcode sidebar.
    • QR Code generator: To open the real-time QR Code sidebar.

Step 3: Customize Barcode or QR Code in Real-Time

  • Barcode Formats: Select from 10+ standard formats including CODE128 auto, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, CODE39, ITF-14, Pharmacode, and Codabar.
  • Dimensions & Styling: Adjust Width and Height sliders with live value indicators, change line colors and background colors.
  • Text & Typography: Toggle human-readable text labels on/off, select text alignment (Center, Left, Right), and pick from monospace, serif, sans-serif, and bold/italic styles.
  • QR Code Options: Customize error correction levels (L, M, Q, H), matrix sizing, and label overlays.

Step 4: 1-Click Insert into Google Docs™ or Copy to Clipboard

  • Place your cursor at the desired position inside your document text.
  • Click Insert Barcode into Doc (or Insert QR Code into Doc) 👉 The high-resolution PNG image is inserted immediately at your cursor!
  • Or click Copy Barcode to copy the image directly to your clipboard for external applications.

Step 5: Upgrading to Pro & License Key Activation

  • Click the Account Status Banner on the sidebar or choose Buy Premium from the menu.
